In my public saftey class, ive learned that it is illegal to take someone down to the ground when you are a police officer. So, why did they. Police have many alternative methods to make someone cooperate then using violence.
in my opinion, the situation should have never esclated to where garner was on the ground.

I think that it is terrible that this man died. I think that weather he was doing something illegal or not he shouldn't have been killed on the scene. This is a clear example of injustice. I don't know what was going through these officers minds, this man is accused of illegally selling cigarettes, he isn't that big of a threat, so why is it necessary that he had to be dragged down? But there was another case, Ferguson, that people are trying to make a big racial thing about it. The two cases are very different.
